Theatre Poster.
Blithe Spirit was a Belfrey Theatre Production of the famous Noel Coward play. The story is about the struggles of a man caught between his current wife, and the ghost of his deceased former wife. This dynamic is reflected in the title text, where you may notice the details of silhouetted man and woman, and another female figure, with a more whispy and ephemeral appearance. Also featured prominently is a crystal ball, which is key to the events of the story. The play is set in the 1930s, and has an art deco visual style, which is reflected in the design of the poster.
